Pompeyexile Is that the Niche Duo? I thought that had only just come out?…or have you been testing it for a year? In which case with all your input it is probably half your spec anyway😁
I have helped design and test for well over a year, probably 16 months now from inception, but just over a year in close to production form. Testers (ordinary people) have had them for just over 7 months. The final 13 months were spent in refinements and minor tweaks to get the best performance possible from the Mazzer burrs. A lot of thought has gone into the Duo. It can be a little irritating to read the comments that the Duo was in response to the Timemore, or other competition, it absolutely wasn’t. It was done because it was there to do…not really any other reason and that was certainly my only reason for being involved. Also people saying it was rushed out because of the Kickstarter….again no, 16 months isn’t rushing. It was launched because it was finally ready.
It’s also worth making the point, because it’s been on my mind. The Duo is at least as good as any other grinder with the 83mm Mazzer espresso burr set in making filter coffee….It’s just even better at making filter when using the specific filter burrs, originally designed for the Mazzer ZM.
