@Cuprajake @delta76 Everyone knows that I was not a Decent supported but I have to be impressed with how the company has expanded and grown and maintained itās reputation in the market place.
The caveat though is if you stop experimenting what have you got? If you do not need traction control, limited slip diffs, nitrous oxide injection and four wheel drive, why pay for it? I am old school. If my coffee needs a tweek, then between dose and grind and very possibly water temp I can usually crack it.
Of course when I first owned my Vesuvius I played, for all of 5 minutes! It simply was not me but I still have friends who have owned them for years and will never change until forced to.
So, my views on Decent have changed. I think that they set the standards in so many areas. But, there is one area where they do not. They can mimic any coffee machine, any profile you want, but what they do not have is their own identity.
