I looked into buying a EV van when I was buying my current van back in 2014 back them it really wasn’t feasible for me despite only doing about 3k miles a year.
The thing that put me off at the time was that the batteries only lasted six years after which the van would have been written off, think from memory the price was about £25k with a grant from the Scottish government and a free charger, tax wise it would have probably been a good move but the Citroen Nemo enterprise 1.4 diesel I eventually bought cost me £12,500 inc vat, tax relief brought that cost down to about £8,000 for a brand new van with three years warranty. I still have the van it’s only done 52,000 miles since 2014.
Don’t know if this is accurate or pure rubbish but I heard recently that if an EV breaks down or runs out of charge then the wheels lock and you have to wait on a flat bed truck to recover the vehicle apparently the AA only has two flat bed trucks for recovery purposes, sounds like BS to me but that’s what a customer told me recently.
