I brewed the Blossom’s Costa Rica Natural Anaerobic a few times this week side by side in sequence.
Although I can’t measure the yield, (a) I did not see a noticeable difference in taste when I used the switch as a V60; and, (b) a noticeable differences in fruity taste and acidity were seen when I tried it a hybrid V60 meaning 40s blooming after pouring 45g water, open the switch and follow the usual V60 routine. I liked this cup a lot more than the standard V60 and also the traditional switch routine of pouring all water, stir at 2:00 or 4:00 to drain at 3:00 or 5:00. I scored the (b) at 8/9 versus 7.5/9 elsewhere.
I haven’t brewed the Smithstreet on the switch as a a V60 yet. I will brew on the switch and report.
I guess, I need to experiment a few more bags and see. Thx 😊

I always preheat the switch and V60 with filter papers. I also use the pre-heated diffuser.
