Had the chance to try a few better coffees today and I’m really impressed. Mainly at how Mazzer have made a burr that shines equally well at V60 and espresso.
Tried two light roasts, an Ethiopian for espresso and Guatemala for a two-cup V60. Really balanced in the cup with plenty of clarity, my other half said it was the best coffee we’d had so even though it was a flat white that was a plus.
Again I really like how well it will do back to back filter and espresso. I haven’t touched the ‘dose finisher’ yet either as I haven’t found a need to.
My only criticism thus far is that whilst it’ll rip though filter coarseness grinds incredibly quickly, it’s not the fastest for espresso but that’s really a non-issue.
