I’ve been looking at their other grinders and I’m not sure it’s necessarily underpriced. A Jolly V Pro Timer is £720 including VAT. Minis are less.
The Philos, although designed for SD, arguably has fewer components. No timer, no electronics etc.
Someone on HB said it doesn’t have the ‘tank-like’ heft that the commercial OD grinders have but still well built.
If we take the Niche at ~£750 which is plastic and made in the far east, £900 for a solid metal grinder made in Italy seems reasonable. I’m not saying it’ll be better than a Niche (which we know is great and a bigger burr) but just making a price comparison.
Obviously there’s an element of buying into the brand too, which is irrelevant to some people and important to others.
