getting beyond a joke now,
i was with shell energy, not by choice my supplier bumped.
they took nearly 4 months to bill me, i took all my readings and photo too.
so i decided to fix with octopus energy in march, on the 16th of march octopus asked for readings in the email stating
“We’ll send this reading to your old supplier, and it will mark the last unit of energy you pay your old supplier for, and the point where you start paying us”
i sent the same readings to shell on the 16th aswell,
now shell are trying to bill me another £90 final bill, the electric is over this read, god knows who gave them this figure, its about £10 out….
today i get an email from shell -
Your supply start date with Octopus Energy started on 21st of March 2022. Your supply end date with Shell Energy is 20th of March 2022. When you switch to a new supplier, you provide them the opening reads. We receive those initial reads from the previous supplier and these are your final reads with us.
The read on the 16th of March 2022 is not the final read as your supply with Octopus Energy started on the 21st of March 2022
now im not on a smart meter i give readings. all bar the electric read is what i gave -
what do i do pay twice? as octo have taken from these reads also!!!!
the energy sector is a joke, as is the way the government dealing of it, we are being forced into this,
personally my bill has gone from £90 per month (2020) to £230 per month, - how politicians speak of hundreds of pounds its thousands
