dang2484 can you see what was making it jam?
Once you sort that the old scale underneath will be scored, but don’t worry about that…simply place some tape or something on the collar or inside the ring to make it stiff…do it in a way that it doesn’t scratch the adjustment tube when you put it on or ever take it off.
Then adjust grinder using the tube not the ring, then if you ever change the burrs or need to set the zero point, simply turn the stiff ring…don’t worry about a grub screw.
