MuddyOne Hard to say as it depends on the temp range, etc. Suppose it’d be better than nothing, but would likely source something like DC111 when possible for a long term fix.
Profited drive lever weird noise
And if needs to be food safe.
So basically any silicone lubricant, water resistant and food safe. I’ll hit b&q in a minute the dc111 is on delivery and will take few days to come. Any specific recommendations from local shop ? Or I’ll just ask there .
Just follow the video above. How old is the machine? Is this the first time you live the cam?

MediumRoastSteam yeah first time, well I’ll follow the video but first I need lubricant… machine is about 8 months old
Have you been flushing frequently with cleaner ?? This will wash out the lubricant leaving meta lo metal abrasion.
I doubt you will find anything suitable @ B&Q ,it needs to be suitable for the high temperature in the head.
Stick to the 111
Yes this appeared yesterday when I was cleaning with tablet , I have set reminder every 180 shots if I’m not mistaken to flush , been advised to that frequently.

MuddyOne I’ve been using this for few years now as couldn’t get my hands on 111 at the time and it works really well.
Edit: just noticed it’s not available in stores so not much help !

I ordered the lubricant, was it in any way my error? I followed profitec manual to clean and these tablets
MuddyOne This tablets are an incredibly expensive way to clean your machine. I’ve always used Puly Caff powder. It’s £13 delivered for 900g on Ebay.
Or there is an incredibly cheap deal for 8 × 900g containers for £16 + £6 delivery, which works out at less than £3 each.
MuddyOne - if I were you…
I’d leave that machine off and stick with filter until it arrives.
It’s well documented here and other forums: you have to, always, lubricate the cam every so often (every 2 months or so) and you must always do that after a chemical backflush or descale. - so try to time that to happen all at the same time. I personally would never use hard water in my machine. Prevention is better than remedy. (I used a ZeroWater jug and re-mineralise)
MediumRoastSteam I’m using Tesco ashbeck as that was recommended to prevent scale , I’m not doing descaling as I heard that with ashbeck is not needed, hopefully that is true. For the kettle I’m using with ashbeck I haven’t noticed any scale at all after all these months. But I will start lubricating lever regularly now.
MuddyOne - just bear in mind Tesco Ashbeck water has changed a few years ago. So do keep an eye in your kettle - it’s a good indicator. 👍
MediumRoastSteam
It’s the same as Waitrose Lockhills at the moment or was when I checked about a month ago. And I mean exactly the same, must be coming from the same source now
I remember asking when I got that machine about any maintenance that is needed, on a different forum. Is there anything else I should be aware of to avoid explosion ?
I took out my precision brewer , haven’t had filter for more than 6 months.

Can’t remember as I still find hard to find info in this forum. But… there’s a thread about cleanliness. Drop the shower screen every 3 days, clean that, gasket, group in general. + lubing the cam every two months.
Also, refresh service boiler water every 2 months or so.
So I lubricated lever as per video , now my group head give steam/paper tear sound. Did I messed up somewhere?

MuddyOne - something definitely wrong. I don’t know which instructions you followed, or what exactly you did… but if I were you I’d undo it all again and follow the instructions very carefully. At a guess… you put the spindle back in the correct orientation or not seated properly.
MediumRoastSteam yeah I’m planning to undo it now, I followed instructions posted above here. I’m not 100% sure the spindle is in correct 45 degree angle I wish there was some close up pic to be sure .
