MuddyOne - No, don’t put the machine back into fast heat up - that’s not what wanted you to do. I was just curious of the machine config settings - wondering if something is not quite right and the machine is overheating when left idling for a while. I’m not familiar with this new version of the machine, so anything I would do would be based on my own research rather than first-hand experience.
Anyway, good luck with trying to figure things out. It’s not the ideal experience when paying £2k for a machine. I’d expect it to just work, but it doesn’t seem to be how things work these days anymore, sadly.
When I had my Pro-700 back in 2014, the Gicar Box also had to be replaced 10 months in.
Edit: Ignore my offset comments, as well as flow control “fully open”: I did some research and looks like Profitec has changed the interface and parameters significantly so the offset now goes from -10 to +10 (whatever that means). Back in the day the offset would be the difference between the water temperature in the brew boiler and by the time it reaches the group. I don’t know what the numbers mean now. On the Flow Control device… I forgot that on the ECM/Profitec ones you can actually do full turns, unlike the Bianca (hence why when I suggested fully open, I was thinking of the Bianca, rather than the Profitec one which means 1 ¼ turn in comparison as the OP correctly pointed out). (
