Barely a hack but just made a small discovery on the fantastic Aergrind I’m using while visiting family.

You can only load 20g of beans in the top but the catch-cup section will comfortably hold 30g of ground coffee so you can actually load another 10g and grind a full 2-cup dose without having to empty it in between.

dfk41 Putting them on the washing line. I think it’s important to remember you don’t even need a dryer with my system 😊👍

Yup! Even though we have a condensing tumble dryer, we rarely use it. We like to, when we can, put our washing out on the line to dry and flap away in the pure, clean, refreshing Yorkshire air tha knows… Cough!… Cough!… Parp!

Pompeyexile If I had one of those I would do the same! A condensing dryer heats at around 70 to 75 degrees whereas a heat pump dryer dries at around 50 and is far far cheaper to run!

dfk41 It’s the cool temps that mean the clothes don’t get damaged.

We recently got a dehumidifier to ‘dry’ clothes.

I can appreciate the convenience of a dryer but am a bit of a nerd about clothes and not keen on what the dryer does to them.

The dehumidifier has a laundry setting so we stick an airer of washing in a room with it on and shut the door. Granted it’s not as quick as a dryer or a warm day but it certainly works well.
