mandalorian92 There isn’t any point in mixing Zero Water with Ashbeck, as Ashbeck is as low as you’d normally go in alkalinity & total hardness.
Yes, you can mix with tap water, but you need to know the alkalinity & the total hardness of your tap water, from an in depth water analysis, usually available from your supplier, via postcode search. TDS includes everything in the water, most of is irrelevant.
You’ll find it hard to get 1.7L each fill from the Zero jug, the filter tends to stall as the jug gets full, I find 600ml per fill will fully pass through without stalling.
dfk41 mandalorian92 I do not think remineralisation affects the TDS, just the taste…..personally,
Zero Water has ‘000TDS’, adding anything will affect the TDS, anything that increases alkalinity will affect the taste too (attenuate bright/sharp acidity, too much will make coffee flat/dull/chewy).
