As noticed by @MattH - Mazzer have just announced a grind by weight version of the new Mazzer Mini.

Obviously this is unlikely to be of interest to anyone who prefers single dosing, but it’s a pretty nice little development in the lesser discussed on-demand grinder space. Clearly a commercially focussed grinder and probably an ideal choice for anyone with a small coffee stand or pop-up etc.
I’ve had a couple of Mazzer Minis over the years before single dosing became popular and they have a certain charm. The one I had was a 58mm before they made them 64, but it was a solid grinder and did a good job of traditional flavored coffee.
Grind by weight is useful because the timers on OD grinders aren’t often very reliable, especially as the hopper empties and personally I used to grind slightly over the amount I’d need and then spoon out the extra… pretty wasteful obviously.
I’m curious to see what the ‘optional’ burrs are that Mazzer mentions suit lighter roasts. I thought it might be the Philos burrs but they’re different in the photo and are also unlikely to be multi-purpose since it’s an espresso grinder.
Pricing is a tricky one to guess as there’s also a new Mini without GBW which presumably will need to be less than the Super Jolly. I’m going to guess around £750 for the regular Mini and maybe 1100-1200 for the GBW.
