Ok so mine arrived this morning. It cost about £108 total. First impressions are that it’s heavy, very solid, very well made. There’s absolutely no buttons or anything on the top of the scale so nowhere for moisture to penetrate. The only button is a small ‘touch’ button on the lower edge. This is used for manual tare and switching it on/off.
Didn’t get off to the best start… apparently the Pearl S scales I have aren’t yet supported. I perhaps should’ve checked but assumed given the Pearl S is the newest model it would be fine… Apparently they’re adding support soon via a firmware update.
The selling point here really only applies if you already have a Pearl. I can’t see why you’d buy one otherwise. If you do have one though, it’s a very neat looking scale, low profile and again, really well made.
However you can use it with the Acaia app so I’m just doing that.
