MediumRoastSteam simonc Issue now got 2 screws of 4 of the pump fitting in and lost the other 2 in behind the front panel and cant find them. This is going really well… 🤷♂️🤦♂️😬😉👍
CoyoteOldMan simonc Fishing line/dental floss and a magnet-with-a-hole? (Assuming the Minima’s front panel is of the same 304 steel as the Evo - it’s virtually non-magnetic, but screws are usually mild steel)
simonc And we are back. Thanks for your help as always @DavecUK Its a nicer sound, possibly 10db quieter by my app. Maybe didn’t do enough measuring before I swapped out. Not as dramatic change as I was hoping.
CoyoteOldMan simonc 10db quieter by my app. Maybe didn’t do enough measuring before I swapped out. Not as dramatic change as I was hoping. 10 dB quieter means 10 times less energy in noise. That’s fairly impressive, even if not necessarily enough for your ears.
simonc DavecUK nothing as in cables? I put t rubber supports on from the old pump and screwed it into the frame just like the old one. There are cables near by but don’t think it’s touching anything else.
MediumRoastSteam simonc - I mean a video of he sound of the new pump, not of the whole process! I think a few members here would be highly interested in hearing the verdict.
simonc MediumRoastSteam ah ok. Sure. Hearing it a few more times when it randomly runs the pump it’s definitely an improvement. I’m using the NIOSH SLM noise app to measure sound. Is about 65 now. Seems lower pitch as well
Raziel Mine is now on order. When they offered custom paint jobs and two wooden finishes I was sold on it…
dutchy101 Must admit, the wooden handles have never really done it for me , but that looks pretty special. What paint job is that @Raziel?
