Heat pump working fine for hot water, it only comes on every 2 days, gas boiler was every day for 50p, heat pump costing me around 10p per day at most, saving me 40p per day. All good and worth £146 per annum
Ovo Tariff in place and running
Free Vaillant smart home subscription, it’s a monitoring package run by Vaillant for assisted appliance monitoring, quarterly appliance health check reports and energy optimisation.
Just getting the Cover & Care Package in place, probably one of Vaillants best kept secrets which they market truly badly.
A 10 year Cover and Care package includes:
✔ 2-year manufacturers guarantee as standard
✔ Additional 8-year extended guarantee with package
✔ 9 annual services
✔ Appliance Function Check
✔ Breakdown and repairs
✔ Genuine spare parts
10 annual payments of £312 incl. VAT †

What they don’t properly sell is the advance loyalty platform which Boxt (my installer) is a member of..which means Boxt give me a 7 year warranty as long as it’s serviced every year by any company approved by Vaillant. When you go and check on the Vaillant site, you find the care package is reduced to £252 because of this.
Here’s the Kicker: You pay £252 per year for the next 9 years and that price NEVER changes and is still £252, on year 9.
Compared to an approved companies service package near me who want £222 for the first service and it’s service only, no extra warranty above the 7 years and of course the price is going to rise each year, as these things always do. I also think if Vaillant themselves service it, your in a much better placed for any repairs.
So amazingly Vaillant don’t market the fact in bold at all and Boxt don’t market the fact they are a member of the advanced loyalty platform, the cheaper Vaillant care package etc.. as to why you should buy a heat pump and preferable from them??? The sheer marketing miss by big companies is baffling.
