Dear Coffetime users!

I would like to discuss with you the problem I encountered with my Lelit Elizabeth (model PL92). I read alot this forum, helped me alot, Thanks! Heres is my issue

Three years of use and more than 4,200 amazing cups behind, and suddenly I noticed that the machine started making gurgling/bubbling noises and dumping water back into the tank.

After some research, I found out that the problem is related to the boiler safety valve (model 9700043). However, I am faced with the problem of finding spare parts. It is almost impossible to find them in Belarus and even in Russia. The only option I’ve found is a valve from Bianca (9700050) with an operating pressure of 3.3 bar. Does it fit my coffee machine by the way?

To solve the problem, I disassembled the valve and immersed it in a descaling solution. I also cleaned and disassembled the (OPV) . After that, the machine works without problems. But now I was wondering: is it possible to use a refurbished valve, its name - Safety - makes me struggling :)

I would appreciate your opinion and advice on this issue. Thanks for your time!

If there is space and the thread is the right diameter…then it will work, but you need a rating slightly higher than 3.3 bar, more like 5.5 as the Lelit can run the steam boiler at quite a high pressure.

      DavecUK thank you!

Is it bad idea to use my old valve after I cleaned it? I guess there was some scale on it and it was stuck open. Is the safety valve still safe 😅🤔

        It may well be fine.
