drdre89 Vostok and Evos are extraction monsters. So is Nurri. They give a great repeatable cup.

Since you talk about Bambino, it is a decent machine, if you pair it with a good grinder, filtered water, and nice beans.

Interestingly, the following is just my experience:

If you prefer drinking just espresso, if you aren’t careful, you might find the espresso from the above levers over extracted at 1:2.5 than at 1:2 even for lighter roasts.

I have had light roasts on the Evo1 along with Sage Bambino both using the same grinder (Duo) side by side. Tbh, I find the espresso from Bambino more enjoyable than from Evo. 🤷🏽

I mostly drink filter, whereas Evo does the week end duty for Americanos and flat whites. However, I always drink espresso from Bambino. 😊

Please take your time, buy once and buy well. It is a lot of money. GL with your purchase.

Me personally ive had 3 levers and all three were either faulty or broke thats the best part of 10k worth of machines

Just be prepared to have to repair, and if the nurri comes through a dealer then that may be an easier option for after care.

Or buy a decent😉😝

I think id agree with the Decent for anyone who is not handy or happy to do a few repairs if necessary and isn’t set on a lever.

as for dealers I’ve seen a few complaints from Nurri owners on the other site(!) that cant get the dealers interested in support….. i couldn’t even get Marco at BB interested enough to talk available Nurri options . the rest is history!!

I’ve been jumped on for pointing fingers before so to be very clear I’m not talking about any manufacturer specifically here but I think we need to be careful not to normalise faulty goods…

Regardless of whether it’s a coffee machine, computer or anything else. I think when you buy anything brand new for thousands of pounds it’s completely acceptable to expect to not have it go wrong anytime in the first say 12 months.

I do agree, but, any component can fail prematurely.

In my professional life i deal with equipment with costs making coffee machines look like pocket change.

Not too often, but never the less, not unheard off , things fail after days or weeks or years .

As I’ve said before, unfortunately, people do Not seem to joing this forum to simply talk about their fully functional, blissful barista hobby. Just to talk about issues…..

Fair point but I still don’t think we should have to put people off machines just because they’re not willing to get a spanner out.

The expectation should be if they go wrong prematurely rather than when they do.

Im joking on the decent front, buy what you like however its been the most reliable machine ive had, and its the one most call the cheapest to build 😂

It does look a great machine, the price is wild but then i suppose close to what you would pay for a lever

What i can say is they have amazing customer support, 2 years plus lifetime extendable warranty, and it takes 3 days to arrive 😂

Dunno, but there will be a method to the madness, they test and test,

Presume you could spec a metal one

Also its dry steam as theres no boilers, my take 20s to steam but its the best steamer ive ever used.
