Recently started getting into the coffee world a little more at home. Just curious as to where people are buying their beans from ad if anyone has any recommendations.

Adrianmsmith yeah the single most important question. this forum is heavily UK-focused but getting more and more international attention (I’m not from UK also)
suggestion is to look for coffee roastery in google maps and pick some with highest reviews from your country/city and try ones with reasonable price/shipping. it will take a while before finding your favorite coffee/roaster (or you might never settle, that’s part of the fun/curse)
if a roaster has a cafe that you can personally visit, do try their cafe as they might let you taste their roasts before buying

My favourites change rapidly. too many “good ones” now .

And although I do like Italian coffee machines, I do not tend to like any coffee that is called Italian roast or Italian blend too dark!!

Obviously I am not sure if that is just a UK thing.

Currently liking the coffee works offerings at a relatively budget price

Another https://www.cworks.co.uk fan! They have quite a wide range but they do free delivery over £10 which is pretty unique. Their beans are not as dark as their website suggests. i like medium and a little bit but not dark with oil on these days. Being pretty cheap (there is a very generous discount on your first order) you cannot lose too much!
