I suspect the Mythos footprint is larger than all my hand grinders together. It is veery imposing ! I ’ve never had a chance to try the 75mm but they have a very fine reputation.
Last week I was giving serious thought to any future changes as our kitchen is tiny and anything new requires planning and usually the removal of something else. One consideration while changing flat-burr grinders was also upgrading my NZ. After a very thorough look at manual tabletop grinders (with help from Adrian) and at electric conicals from Kafatek, MX Cool, Molar, Ozik, Weber, WUG – that for my use none of these were upgrades and several were possibly quite the reverse. Niche is still remarkable and for me a true gold standard. I plan to keep mine as long as I’m breathing.
I actually prefer to buy once and keep forever, and it is only the addition of an 80mm grinder that is causing me to divest the Ode and the Duo, both of which have been very pleasing to own and use..
Although I joke about getting “government approval” my wife knows that I never skimp on research before purchases and rarely change my mind thereafter. Of course she still wanted to know why so many grinders until I pointed out how much cookware we have and that all of it gets used ;–)
And I have assured her that no more grinders will appear here; we have a sufficiency.
The new hi-fi is another matter ..;-)
