I’ve got to admit I hate seeing all the cables and that is the only drawback for having old style seperates. If you looked behind my AV cabinet you would have a dicky fit. AV amp, Hi-Fi amp, multi regional 4k Blu Ray, Sky, CD Player, DAB Radio, Fire Stick, Centre Speaker, Stereo Speakers, Rear Surround Speakers and finally the TV. All needing plug sockets and of course a multitude of phono, HDMI, Toslink and speaker cables. There is something to be said for this blue tooth and wirelss stuff.
That is what has also held me back on the TV front whether to go for OLED or QLED. Putting one on the wall would mean a false wall or as you say conduit. This is were Samsung have the right idea with the one connect box. Just the one slim cable coming from the TV to a seperate box for all the HDMI connections etc. We have one in the bedroom and it is brilliant. Why other manufacturers don’t do it is beyond me.
