Pompeyexile ken0062 Yup! Got the last Walnut veneered ones left before they stopped doing them from good old Richer Sounds. The rears are 77D’s. Had them all of what must be over 20 years now and they are still going strong. Originally just bought the stereo pair for my Hi-Fi then added the centre speaker and rears when I got the Yamaha DSPA1 surround amp. My Musical Fidelity A5 Hi-Fi amp has a Home Theatre Direct input switch which allows it to be connected to the AV amp and so the stereo speakers come into play when playing a blu ray or the SKY through it. Add my Rell Strata III sub and it does the job.
ken0062 Pompeyexile I was originally running my 752,s through a cyrus 3 amp, till i realized later that listening to HIFi and having young children does not really work so added the centre and rears and a yamaha AV amp at a later date converting to an AV system to save them going to waste, wished i had kept hold of my other components now
dutchy101 DavecUK I needed a set and recall a discussion on here where you mentioned them. They were £12.90 delivered - I’m very impressed with the quality and especially the jaw protectors. Should have really bought a set before now but very happy with the recommendation and product - cheers
Waitforme I went for the Rothenberger ones as recommended on here, I think they were about £25 from Amazon. They are good, no movement in the jaws unlike other Shifters I have.
mobius Looking at the Rothenberger, etc. is there a checklist of ‘useful’ tools/widgets to own, when also owning an E61 ? (for maintenance, not coffee).
Waitforme DavecUK I use two plastic bicycle tyre levers to remove the screen due to fear of scratching the group head with metal spoons.
Amberale DavecUK I use two very old silver teaspoons from my mothers selection of garage sale items. I figure the silver should be a lot softer than the stainless steel.
tompoland 64mm and 83mm Mazzers and Gorilla Gear burrs arrived today. 1x SSP 64mm arrived too. Waiting on another 6 sets and for the DFs to arrive and then the shoot outs begin…
DavecUK Amberale Some shower screens can be very stubborn, especially those from ECM until they loosen up a bit.
tompoland DavecUK useful information thanks Dave - thought it was just me. Eeverything with ECM seems harder to get off, I guess it’s their tight/quality engineering tolerances?
Inspector Delivered in less than 24 hours Colombian granja la Esperanza beans are bit of a bargain for £16.99 a kg. Also I will be trying Vietnam Arabica for the first time.
Beverast Apologies for the rubbish photo. This arrived this morning. My Kaffelogic now has a bigger brother. Took me a while to decide on my next roaster - I seriously considered the Bullet for a while but noticed towards the end of last year that an electric version of the Cormorant had been released. Although only 600-650 gram capacity compared to a kilo of the Bullet it’s like £1300 less money to spend and to be honest I far prefer the “looks” of the Cormorant. Either way I think this will be a great wee roaster to learn on - just need to get a notebook and install the tubes and this will be good to go. Will only get around to testing it next week, but I am excited.
DavecUK Beverast Looks very nice and I think Electric will be a lot more convenient….Looking forward to seeing the results. Sizewise, I think 600g is just about right for home use.
steve_07 [unknown] the fiallos is like fruit in a cup! Never had anything like it. Even the smell when opening the bag is juicy.
