Lets kick off with some beautiful measuring equipment and it's even coffee related for some projects I'm doing. Micrometer (1 micron), depth gauge (1 micron) and calipers (10 micron). A pleasure to use, especially the callipers as my other set are Mitutoyo, but 60 years old (my dads) and in thou. i have a custom made niche bellows but for me it’s not worth the fuss. so little in retained grinds that I’m happy enough to let it collect dust in some long forgotten draw.

essential for a DF though.

Whilst I agree it probably isn’t absolutely necessary, I rock my niche after every grind and a little clump drops out. So being able to stop doing that and not thinking about the little extra retained I think is worth it for me.

Not necessarily coffee related but the Filofax is so that I can keep my records tidy. Fed up with jotting things down in a notepad which only seems to get full of jumbled notes, and then I am unable to find my information easily. Hopefully I will be a bit more organised with my paperwork. The vacuum sealer has really come in handy with my flour storage. Seal and then freeze.

Took inspiration from @Cuprajake and I’ve subscibed to the international filter roasters from Dog & Hat and I’m loving it so far, feels like an upgrade from Hasbean.

Just finishing some coffee from Fjord (also in Berlin) and it’s good.

Cuprajake I think my needles are number 4 3d printer cleaning needles…very thin.

Cuprajake way to thick. Somewhere between 0.25mm and a max of 0.4mm is about right. I prefer 0.3mm

These are 0.4mm needles

The ones that come with this tool are pretty useless, a nats fart would bend them.

I’ve gone back to the old one I have been using just wanted a black one.
