No, someone bought it and gave it to me (loaned), so I could learn all the good stuff from it, to design better grinders. Sadly I only learnt how not to make a grinder! The 2 Weber grinders I have tried, have probably been the worst grinder experiences I have ever had so far. I find it hard to believe web reviewers are reviewing the same grinder.
I’m hoping the key will improve when I have installed the paperclip sweeper thingy. It said you can use it without one and use RDT…I’m not so sure and I don’t want to have to keep spraying my beans.
Perhaps it will grow on me….The Kafatek Flat Max with the Shuriken burrs though, is probably the best grinder you can buy for the home, hugely better than the EG1 (which isn’t even in the same league), P100, Key etc.. That’s not to say the KFM couldn’t be improved, there are a few improvements I think could be made…but it’s good with a very good burr set.
