Lets kick off with some beautiful measuring equipment and it's even coffee related for some projects I'm doing. Micrometer (1 micron), depth gauge (1 micron) and calipers (10 micron). A pleasure to use, especially the callipers as my other set are Mitutoyo, but 60 years old (my dads) and in thou. Up and running again now 😄 .

BigTTony thanks for the link. I’m in the look out of a funnel. How does the lip impact the Puck prep as it looks like it sits inside the basket? Any chance of a photo of the portafilter after wdt / before tamp?

Gav86 the lip does indeed sit inside the basket, but only by a smidge. I’ll do a photo in the morning (fingers crossed I remember)

Gav86 here you go. First photo is postgribd but before WDT. Second is post WDT and third is same as the second but with the funnel removed. In my opinion it worked perfectly

These arrived today to tidy up my coffee corner. Was hoping they’d be more transparent as was described as semi-transparent but happy and most of all the wife is happy I’m being tidy haha. Not bad for £8.95 each and the seller is local which I found out from my confirmation so may look at some other bits.

Looks like it. That’s my first order from Django but had a valveless kilo bag from Extract a few weeks ago too.

Much better for the environment - had no idea it’s better for freshness too. Win win if so.

It’s good that some roasters are doing this now. I have been packing in valveless bags for over 7 years. Much better for coffee freshness.
