I always treat your observations / comments carefully as they may be riddled with pun! 🤣
For the record, mac’s security is fantastic and we will pick a mac PC over windows, should our windows workstation pack today. Like Windows, they have XProtect and Malware Removal Tool. Both are good but only guards against threats Apple sees them.
Cyber security experts, AV providers and more importantly microsoft actively analyses Mac’s OS vulnerabilities. One example is MS identifying Powerdir security flaw in the TCC technology. Apple later fixed it and acknowledged MS for originally identifying the risk. There are other examples like zero-day exploits, which Apple fixed recently.
We are essentially looking at a lead-lag between the current OS, identification of the risk and the quick fix by Apple. Hence, it is important to compliment with a 3rd party AV! 😊
It is therefore good Google, Apple and Microsoft agreed a pact to work on cross-platform standards to move towards password-less technology!
