Otaibimn Got some normcore goodies today: Just did a fast shot with the needle distributor… me thinks it will be handy in the mornings where you don’t wanna WDT by hand. Comparison with the needles with my current WDT:

Otaibimn CoyoteOldMan The design moves specific portions and depth of the puck. In commercial setting it will be a godsend for baristas but for home use… not so much. I am loving the no-brain and technique approch in doing it and just makes me go full robot mood when making my shot.
Mattius2 hthec it’s only now I look at yours you can see how different the top of the face-lift one is looks a lot shorter. Turns easily and a tad more elegant I think. No real plans to mess about with burrs just yet and the two Allen key bolt access is the work of seconds. I understand the threaded previous approach was giving anodising problems causing delay. Machining inside is just beautiful. Shout out to the option-o guys who kept you updated all thru the nutty shenzen covid delays and offered a full refund anytime if you didn’t want to wait
hthec Mattius2 ah it pops right off after undoing the 2 allen bolts. That does look nice… Not sure if the “difference” in height is just perspective though
Knluk Just to report back. James of NZ has helped to send back a replacement unit and it looks perfect. Superb customer services from NZ! Can’t wait to pull some shots after 4 days out of coffee.

Doram CoyoteOldMan Somewhere in the universe, there is a set of Knipex pliers/wrenches with my name on it… Your post reminded me (again) that I wanted one for ages. That, plus recently replacing four taps with my crap adjustable spanners, plus a deal on Amazon, got me to finally order one (plus the overpriced jaw covers). Strangely though, they are “despatched within 5-6 weeks” (!). So now there is one with my name on it as well. So thanks. :)
