Cuprajake If your stock seal still locks good I would change it. So far bar the seal that came with the machine, the oe replacement and the silicon ones don’t lock a true 6 o’clock. I know that’s just me wanting it perfect but still meh haha
MediumRoastSteam Cuprajake Couldn’t resist How’s the scale treating you Jake? I’m so tempted! I know Dave had one for ages, but as a someone who just had this new and coming from a different scale, what’s your take on it?
MediumRoastSteam DavecUK I’ve still got the scale! @" DavecUK"#p22841 - I know! Badly written English on my part there. 👍 I’ve used and seen the scales at yours, I really liked it. I wanted Jakes opinion as can compare with the one he usually uses.
Cuprajake Erm god’s honest truth I prefer the yuaga scale. Seems to read quicker and is easier to use as in there real buttons to press. Not to say it’s a bad scale I just prefer the ones I have.
JahLaza Found a new roaster over here, this is my second purchase, the last bag was superb and what a nice little note from them!! Edit: and the package weighs 1026g !
CoyoteOldMan While in Italy, I found a good deal on coated burrs for the Ceado. Box and content below - can’t help but wonder if the writer of ‘kiss my burrs’ realised that as well as the pun on ‘kiss my curls’ there is another pun…
Hotmetal Back to the WDT posts above, a mate from a non-coffee-related forum who is also into coffee made me a really nice WDT tool with some Burma Rosewood and 4 × 0.4mm acupuncture needles instead of the thicker ones with eyelets. I must say it’s far superior and a quick stir leaves the puck clump free and level ready to tamp.
PortafilterProcrastinator Doing its best impression of the Michelin man. Do people deflate bags to let it rest, or leave them puffed up?
LMSC PortafilterProcrastinator leave them puffed up? Correct. Haven’t seen it bursting. I had let their decaf sit for 3.5 weeks. It was ok.
