How would you prevent this code being exploited by other people just visiting the site and taking advantage but not signing up to the tasting? Just curious from “a protecting your business “ perspective as I understand how profits are cut to the bone at the moment and it’s very generous of you to offer your coffee.

Platypus there’s not a lot we can do about that - at least not without turning the whole thing into a long winded and overly complicated process that would be tedious for everyone involved.

I also wonder if you also make Cortado. My daughter and her partner love filter. However, they equally like Cortado over flat white.

and add it to your forum signature. This means that it can easily be checked by anyone that cares to. People will and do jump on things. We have no commercial intent at all on this forum but it is a lot of bother for @LeefromFoundryCR to go to to sell a few kg of coffee.

I think the offer should be restricted to 500 gm bags only. Also, only names on the list can partake, to stop mis-use of the discount code.

Cortado etc. i cant remember the ratios of these fancy names. they’re all just flat white. the amount of milk i add varies a lot !!

Surely if a discount code only works on that specific coffee and only for a few days, people would have to stumble across this thread during a very small timeframe. Yes it could be open to others but I assume Foundry will still be making a profit as we’re not asking for handouts so realistically the chance of people taking the mickey is low.

Dusk You would be surprised! Yes, the chances of an individual finding the code is small, but as @Lawman says bots are scraping the internet 24/7 targettng this sort of thing. Why take a chance to cause @LeefromFoundryCR issues when a simple visible email solution would work.

I have been disposing of Dave’s coffee stuff and I did it on the basis that people could email me with forum name and mobile number. I only had one attempt at deception

It wouldn’t surprise me if there are bots around scraping any available code around. Albeit the chances are slim, just want to ensure that as @LeefromFoundryCR has been kind enough to help with this that we minimise any unwanted greed.

The coffee Lee has linked sounds like a winner to me. So are we going with aleeas email addys to distribute the code once sorted? I will set mine up now if so. Seems like an easy and safe way to manage it. What are people thinking in tiemframe? End of this weekend? Sometime mid week?

I am not a fan of sharing emails. If I do, I might consider iCloud’s “hide my email” and delete after a few days. That’s me. 😊🤷
