Do we even need a discount code, not being funny were all grown adults, there’s like 8 people, instead of all this messing about just buy it and taste it, also helps his profits if people are arsed about the ‘discount’ code being used by others whats it save £2 ffs

If the code is published in this thread and some people whose names are not in this thread order the coffee is it such a big deal and I’m sure some orders could be rejected if it was. It is not as though this coffee is something that has been prepared, especially for this thread and is not generally available to order online anyway obviously but without the discount.

Foundry is one of our go to roasters. Besides the Costa Rican which I had mentioned earlier, we just finished drinking their Ethiopian which was also nice.

We have already ordered a few including the Helena Salazar. :-)

i had a quick look the other day tasting notes put me off, didnt look at a kilo price as id never buy 1kg of any unknown bean as it could be a massive waste of money just looked at the 250g price and its a normal price for what i tend to pay

Its going to be impossible to find a coffee we’d all normally buy and i guess that is part of the “experience”.

I have a proposal:

I’ll post a code on here next Sunday morning (15th) and it will expire at 9pm on the same day. Any orders placed from the previous Thursday (12th) at 9am until the early hours of Monday morning will be processed together and roasted/shipped on Monday i.e. those wanting to use the code will need to order on Sunday.

The code will work on any size bag for either the Luz Helena Salazar, or the Finca Matilde Yeast for those with different tastes/preferences/budgets etc. Maybe the simplest solution?

@LeefromFoundryCR that sounds like a great plan. It will also give anyone a heads up to spare 5 minutes a week from Sunday to place the order. I would suggest you have it already in your baskets, add the code when available and … done deal.

A thought struck me. Why not just list the coffee and we pay full price (since it is not really about a discount). Once the dust has settled, @LeefromFoundryCR can simply make a forum donation for the equivalent 20%. He can claim the donation as a business expense and FreeFlarum receives a few Euros helping keep the whole forum going.
