MWJB Aeropress, right way up, 27g to 225g-ish?
Just gave this a go at 88 on the Niche Zero (one full turn from ‘0’, then another 2.5 marks past Zero)
I weighed the water into my kettle so that I didn’t have to bother brewing on scales (I already know I can lose about 10g from the cold water weight when doing this, so I started with 235g, but it probably doesn’t matter much), meaning I could get the plunger in without wasting time lifting the lot on/off scales.
Coffee in, start timer, then boiling water in quickly using the Aeropress funnel to avoid spills, A quick back & forth stir, insert plunger enough to stop flow.
At 1:15 remove plunger break the crust, re-insert plunger and press for 30s at 1:30, stopping when you see dry bed of grounds (about 2:00).
Pretty good cup, representative of notes with the faint sound of Rawhide, heavy body/texture, but not off-putting, 6 US fl. oz (180g) out.
