For me it wasn’t that he did not perceive a taste difference. Who knows what coffee(s) were used, the circumstances, how many repeats of tasting.
For me it was his entirely missing the point of the Duo.
Niche build-quality and workflow; optimized espresso and filter burrs that are truly interchangeable in roughly a minute; a compact footprint; all at a very fair affordable price. And of course one could change the stock burrs also.
If there was absolutely no taste difference at all, there were still major reasons for applause.
I cannot fathom how he missed the point entirely.
With my two Option-O P80s I cannot really justify keeping my Duo, however I am strongly inclined to do so regardless. It is so good!
