I'm tempted to offer you my Ceado E92, very little used, perhaps 50Kg through in total (perhaps not even that)…Cost me quite a lot though, so not a cheap grinder.

a couple of E92s were sold for no more than £550 in the past 1.5 years, on CFUK. These days, with the Niche, nothing ex-commercial second hand is selling for anything more than that, however good it might be.

My experience is somewhat limited on grinders, but never had a stuck bean with my Niche in almost 18 months, if that helps

I never had this issue either. I had to buy and fit the disk myself as it wasn’t a thing when I bought the grinder, back in 2018.

With the addition of bellows the E92 is only slightly longer in work-flow than the Niche. I just drop in 20g of beans start the grinder, wait til the beans have ground through (about 4 seconds!), a few puffs of the bellows, a quick sweep up the spout and that’s it. Timer set to 15s which is enough to grind and puff. Easy! (Oh, and I use a Niche grind cup too..) I may upload a vid for poops and giggles.

@Lake_M 4 seconds or 20 gms! It is the slowest spinning commercial conical in the world, or at least the one or two I had were!

dfk41 OK maybe 5. Not much more, it crunches through them pretty quickly! Looks like I’m definitely going to have to do a vid now.

Lake_M I am renowned for having a crap memory, but when L had my last one, am sure the routine as described my @DavecUK of feeding beans in small quantities, then bellowing (as much in frustration as to clean the chute0, add in genuflecting and the minute bassoon reached. Admittedly, this routine did all but cure the retention, but…….

dfk41 When I used the camera lens hood method it was pretty bad to be honest, but it worked. The addition of the bellows changed everything.

Yeah I was looking at the hopper, not sure how you would set up a bellows on that. The neck is really wide.

Cuprajake What the hell? That is very unusual behaviour to put it politely. There will be others mate, found my big flat ex-cafe on GumTree, for what has to have been book value. Be patient and hang in there is my advice.
