About a year into espresso at home and I’ve hoovered up information from here and, previously, from The Forum That Shall Not Be Named. Having drunk espresso for a long time I took the plunge last year and got a machine for home. For reasons best known to myself (not being at all mechanically minded) I decided to get a used one and fix it up, thinking I’d learn about the machine and the process along the way, which kind of worked up to a point. Bided my time and finally picked up a Gaggia Classic 2012 for £70 off a Facebook ad from someone who didn’t really know the machine at all. Felt a little bad initially, but it transpired he’d been given it for free, so everyone won I suppose. That said, it was in a bad way. Since paired with a Sage Smart Grinder Pro.
As a general rule, I don’t like to ask questions someones already answered, and with no prior knowledge at all, forums and Youtube have got me a long way for a total novice. Now I have a problem I really don’t know the answer to. I’ll flick it into a different discussion and hope someone can offer an idiot some pointers.
That aside, look forward to finally contributing to a forum that’s taught me a lot :)
