Unfortunately, my Minima started giving me some trouble this morning. I’m hoping to learn how to repair it with your help, and I’d be happy to share any tips or content from my experience as well.

Hello dear coffee lovers!

First of all, THANK YOU DaveC about the knowledge transfer for these so many years! I learnt a lot from you Dave about the machines and espresso praparation! I am Petar, an espresso enthusiast from Bulgaria. I have had Gaggia Classic, Rancilio Silvia, Expobar Brewtus IV, Izzo Alex Duetto, Rocket R58 and I am currently using VBM Domobar Super DB PID upgraded with FCD + E61 group manometer which I would like to sell. Kev from Coffee Blog gave me the idea that this is the right place to offer the machine. But, I am a bit confused to do it, because of the transportation cost from Bulgaria to UK, taking into account of the distance and the 32 kg weight of the machine, so any advice from you will be much apreciated. Now I am reading your comparisson item about copper and stainless steel boiler, which is very informative for me.

Hello from me. I was an infrequent poster on another forum on a galaxy far far away and which seems rather quiet these days. I recognise many of the names on here.

I’ve been meandering along for the past 6 or so years with a gaggia classic (unmodified) and eureka mignon MK2. Happy enough with coffee I was getting, although intended to add PID to the Classic for some time. I suddenly got the urge to take things to the next level. Upgraded the grinder to Niche Zero before christmas and today I have taken delivery of a Profitec Go. Might not seem like a massive upgrade but a single boiler is fine for me as I mostly drink straight espresso and only make milk drinks when I have friends over. I’ve noticed a massive difference since getting the Niche so hoping the PID in the Go will improve things even more.

Kitkat Greetings! I have not seen anyone else on here with The Go so we look forward to hearing about your journey! As you will know, there are plenty of helpers on here! We are also strictly a non commercial forum meaning no one is able to mine the membership to make money from them…..an idea that does not seem to have caught on elsewhere

Belated thanks for the welcome. I remember you @dfk41 - I think I bought my first grinder from you (a Eureka Mignon MK2 which I used up until a few months ago).

I am getting to grips with the Go. It took me a while as I hurt my back and couldn’t actually lift it out of the box. It seems very easy to use and it’s nice not having to temperature surf before brewing. I think the fast heat up time is not really a thing though. It still needs longer to get everything hot enough otherwise the coffee in the cup is not very warm. Liking it so far though.

I figured I’d introduce myself - like many it seems like ive ended up here due to having some issues with my machine but looks like a goldmine of information.

Only really started drinking coffee a few years ago and still very much a with milk coffee drinker but I’m wanting to learn more about the process and beans etc. Currently got a Lelit Bianca v3 and a Eureka Mignon Specialita grinder and most of the time I’m getting my beans from Redber who are based in Guildford, Surrey, UK

Some nice kit, Redber are not far from me, about 7 miles away. I think you might find it worth exploring some other roasters as well. Redber, last time I looked, which was a few years ago now, source from Interamerican Coffee, but there are other more specialized bean suppliers to the roasting industry. e.g. Wakefield and Falcon

Howdy howdy, I expect I’ll absorb a lot more than I’ll (substantively) contribute but stranger things have happened. While I enjoy light to med-light roasts most, I’m still more than happy sipping on medium to dark, washed and super clean, natural and funky, bright and fruity, etc. You name it.

As for tools, Strietman CT2 and Cafelat Robot fill espresso duties, Switch and V60 for immersion/PO, and Lagom P100 and Niche Zero for cutting the beans.
