What does the V2 mean in terms of technology? Is it still the same machine or has it been improved functionally? Mine has just turned 2 years delivering impeccable shots and yet the itch is here. Can anyone shed some light?

Yes, it’s the maximum length…to the front of the drip tray…as you stated.

Not from me so much because I had an Alpha and one of my group cartridges stopped working after 3 days. (long story about an old scrap group). @Eiffel has collected together a great FAQ.

2 things though, ensure the B parameter for the brew boiler is set to 100 and keep a 6-8C difference in temp of brew boiler to group. e.g. group 92 Brew boiler 98 to 100, then that will be good for group temps from 92-94 or even 95

Meldrew I must admit I am very happy to land this. I would have happily stayed with the Elizabeth for a long long time without thinking of changing but the price and timings fell right for me on this occasion. You have skipped some of the early fences of the journey by landing this but I think the smile on your face drinking the shots I’m expecting from the Vesuvius should delete any of that curiosity🏃🏃☺️☺️

JahLaza It will be a long learning curve but it will be worth it.
I am like the cat that got the cream. The Elizabeth as you say would have been a keeper but how can one miss an opportunity such as this. Glad that it came together for you.
