Adhod remineralize. I won’t say that it creates perfect distilled water because when I use my cheap Amazon TDS meter I still get a value of about 10 which is generally pretty low but at least makes me feel like I’m not going to introduce any scale into my machine. The only negative is compared to something like a zero would be the time it takes to create four liters of water is about 3 hours and then you need another 30 minutes at the end to clean the chamber which is basically just boiling citric acid and water
That alone for me justified my ZeroWater purchase. It took my distiller approx. 6 hours to distil 3.5L. Unlike yours though, my TDS meter always recorded 0 or 1ppm. Also, bear in mind that if you measure when the water is hot, it will register a higher value. The water needs to be at room temperature for a proper reading.
All the faff with the distiller, including cleaning, and cooling down the water, and having to plan ahead, combined with the soaring electricity prices, makes buying a ZeroWater a no brainier. Best £55 I ever spent (that was for a jug, a filter and an extra pack of 4 filters).
We also have a steam iron, and the ZeroWater works a treat for that.
