caffeineus_impervious Removed the hex bolt whilst the machine was off as I was apprehensive of how fast it might spurt out. For a few seconds after powering up the machine and lifting the arm, water did come out. But as it warmed up, it came to a stop
Do this test before reading anything else….with the machine cold, and on a flat 9 bar profile, lift the lever and see what water comes out of the group, leave it lifted for 40 second.s Video it.
There’s a clue in this. I don’t know if you did the things I asked, as I asked them…but I was trying to find out if the brew valve was being actuated properly, one of the things I mentioned as a remote possibility much earlier in the thread accompanied by a diagram. Have another read of what I asked. Open that chamber up and take a photo of the cam assembly in the fully down and fully up position.
If water stops coming out of that hole for a few seconds after powering up the machine, but as it warmed up it stopped, it didn’t do that when you removed the top group nut did it…check that. A few seconds doesn’t seem long enough for the group to get warm enough for the expansion of metals to prevent the top group valve opening, but I don’t have a clear idea of flow rate when it’s cold.
It could be a very simple fix…but I’m not getting the information I need.
