dchinn I’m not sure - the invoice says Vesuvius 1 and is dated 2014. I bought it from Bella Barista. Any way to check year?
That final piece of information tells me it’s one of the 1st 3 Vesuvius made for demonstration purposes to retailers. There are slight differences to models after that. I personally wish they had only been supplied to retailers on condition they wouldn’t be sold.
There are some things you now need to order.
- A new pump magnet (your pump probably has one of the faulty potted magnets that were going around back then. Fluidotech may well supply the magnet to the factory free, but you would have to pay postage.
- As your having to pay postage you should replace the combined vacuum breaker and safety valve (it WILL be leaking).
- Get a couple of spare temperature sensors, they will probably be the next components to fail.

I would also check the connections at the back of the steam/water wands in case they are leaking.
P.S. Just order all this stuff from the factory.
