DavecUK Thanks Dave, I have tried it against blind filter and will stay at 8 bars, never going above it, with Profile 1 where before it regularly reached 11 bars.

I will check the valves you mentioned and will report back.

If the magnet were culprit, is it better to go to Maria at ACS or directly to FoT?

A stupid question, but where do I find the srial number of my machine? I will need it when I contact ACS for the magnet.

I have not forgotten to take pictures when changing the magnet, first I need to contact ACS.
BTW I noticed that you had the Vesuvius boiler blown up diagram. Do you happen to have the machine blown up diagram as a whole or the separate compartments?

I found it at the old Tapatalk site. If I sent the serial number and the fact that I bought it directly from ACS would this qualify me for a free magnet sent over?
I will contcat Maria later today, I just need to dig out the SN behind the water tank thanks go to @Adrianmsmith

Maria at ACS was flash quick and yesterday I got the magnet.
Can someone advise me what the best way to take out the pump would be?

I have tried to find a blown up diagram, but it seems ACS do not have them on their website.

I found @DavecUK YouTube video where he skilfully removes the covers and this will be my last resort.

I am thinking to open it at the water tank side and go from there.

DavecUK It cost me EURO 80 inclusive of postage which was the price of the magnet (39.20 the magnet 40 DHL).
Any advice on how to remove the pump?

If you cant get to it from the bottom, probs one or both boilers have to come out….which is much easier than it sounds.

Supplier went back to Fluid O Tech after realising the entire batch was the same. They received their next batch early this week and they informed that they are the same. Fluid O tech informed the supplier that these are the only versions available now….unsure if ACS can get a different version.

With that in mind I measured up and ordered some FKM (Viton) O rings, BS111 size and they came today.

Perfect snug fit around the base, 6 turns of PTFE on the thread, fitted it in and nipped it up, looks like we are back in business.

DavecUK Hi @DavecUK ,
After some travelling and vacation, yesterday I decided it was high time I replaced the magnet. I opened the top lid and after some thinking decided to replace it whilst the pump was still in the machine.
I will not bother you with the tiresome procedure (2-3 hours) that no a sane man would/should do. After repeating the process several times, I have finally put it back.

The instance of truth was when I switched the machine on and the display stayed black.
No RCD was tripped in the process. I might have done something in the process, trying to keep the cables aside. During the replacement, I had to put back the charging cable of the pump, the PCB showed up.
I hope the pump is still in good shape, but before I check that I need to figure out where I have lost the current.

Is (are) there obvious things I need to check first?

I was hoping to take a shrotcut, but it seems a full strip (boiler removal, Gigar box, SSRs) might be on the cards.

I look forward to receiving your helpful advice.

Hi

I had a similar heart stopping experience and i had disturbed but not fully disconnected the ribbon cable to the back of the display, which soon put my heart back in rhythm when i shoved it back in and powered back up!! Hope you have done something similarly simple to fix once traced .
