the above is timely for my issue……..
I recently purchased a vesuvius (circa 5 years old ) . It is V10.
it stood for 10 days or so prior to me plugging in (as id been using the (also recently purchased Evo - which is fine)
so i ran some water through the brew boiler and tasted it . It was like concentrated iron - as a best guess, struggling to describe it. Rather killed the excitement some what!!
this is a top wiew of a glass of water.
Absolutely rank. ran some more in to a glass and it had black bits and silver glitter in it as described be slidingmike.
havent made and coffee yet in it! ordered some descaler which should arrive today.
But, to taste this bad (you could not drink it) any guess as to what may be corroding etc. could the element be an issue. im away from sunday to friday but thinking should i strip the brew boiler or try a descale.
Any advice please appreciated.
if i strip the boiler i guess id replace the element in any case. are there any uk suppliers or am i best to just order direct from ACS?
Im new to ACS - been using ecm synchronika for a couple of years and that was my first “real” machine.
I am ok doing and electrical, mechanical work so any advice specific to the V appreciated.
Also - Does anyone have a link to a full parts diagram of the V or the Evo please?
Thanks
