That is a possibility as they could be playing around showing people.

@Meldrew , if I were you I’d just leave it on one setting and run it for a few weeks to get to know the machine.

Too much chopping and changing and you’ll disappear up your rear not knowing what was what.

I maybe could have phrased the above a bit better but you’ll know what I mean.

I’ve had the Bianca for over a year and have hardly touched the paddle.

    Waitforme You phrased that about right. Your right I need to become confident with what I am doing before trying to move on. Once I am a little more confident I could run another profile in tandem to learn a bit more.

        No keep them, but by the time you get to s6 you should have 36g in your cup. If you dose 18g

        Cuprajake each of the 5 profiles has 7 phases of time vs pressure. Your post seems to list 2 sets of (time vs pressure) for each 7 phase. Can you explain? I’ve loaded up the second pair for each ‘s’ you list above as profile 2 and will investigate in the morning (sorry if I’m misinterpreting something obvious in the list)!

            Cuprajake Thanks for this I did see the video some time ago and had forgot about to be truthful it was useful and quite interesting except for his voice. Sorry for being dumb. So when you get to 36g in the cup you would stop the flow and ignore the remaining two stages or would you see what happens after the 90 seconds.

              Yeah so it should sweat first drips towards the end of the first stsge, then ramp up to full pressure and start declining, roughly 1gram per second seems about right then at your desired weight turn off. 36 to 40g in the cup.

              Definitely will, it’s great to watch all this and being able refer back when the need arises. Especially with my memory.

                Cuprajake just had a coffee with that profile, it’s great. I’m using a dark roast however, and stopping at 27/29gm, so my shot is 8 sec at 2 bar pi and all the rest at 9 bar as I’m getting the 27/29gm at around 27 sec. It’s perfect for this bean stopping at that time so I won’t bother messing with grind. I’m moving to medium roast in the next day or so and will then grind finer and get further into this profile. Thanks for that, great to start exploring now. Meldrew hope you’re enjoying it now and getting used to the screen?

                    Last night it must have taken me 15 minutes to access the advanced settings - where you have to hold a certain area for ten secs and it must be in the ‘off’ status. So I was holding it for ten nothing happens move the thumb slightly hold for ten nothing happens and on and on! Eventually it worked and I forgot about it. Just now I must have spent about ten minutes just trying to access a profile.I copped something - it seems to react much better if you use the whole width of your thumb not at an angle, or part of your thumb and probably won’t work with a different finger. Cover the whole square of the option you’d want to access if you like. Try it consciously and see if it helps

                      JahLaza it’s not just me then lol. Am enjoying it and just about to try profile 1 again. I must admit it’s a lovely looking unit. Have been out all morning at a lovely place Rievoulx Abbey and just got back. We only live about four miles away so handy to just pop down and have a wander, even better we don’t have to pay as my wife holds a cssc card which cost £5 a month and gives us access to different places. .
