coffeealex I would also suggest someone who has an OZ so that they have some baselines to go with
I think that it’s an idea, but one of the things to be very careful of is comparing one product with another. A product should be reviewed on its own merits not vs another product, you should state what the product will do how it works, how you found it, shortcomings, positive points. Then the product should be able to stand up on it’s own against the competing product, because people can read both reviews and decide which product suits them better. It’s rare to find a one-size-fits-all product, and I think recent reviews of one machine against another by a couple of coffee retailers for the Bianca vs ECM machines, has not really done anyone any good.
Having the experience of different systems is useful, but for understanding what you’re reviwing, not competing reviews. My belief is reviews are best as standalone things. Then the consumer can decide which product suites them best. The reviewer taking an unbiased view, having the role of informing and demonstrating. The reader should feel they are looking over the shoulder of the reviewer and sharing the experience.
