Saw this in the supermarket and thought it would be a good trip down memory lane as I havenāt eaten this in over 60 years. When I was a kid on a Sunday teatime I would be given spam and brown sauce sandwiches whilst my mum listened to Sing Something Simple on the radiogram.
There is an expressionā¦āYou should never go backā and regarding Spam after eating that, I totally agree. It came in a two pack and the other one will be going in the charity food bin in our local supermarket.
Normally I would have had baked beans with it but I thought the salad would have at least been a nod to healthy eating but it didnāt workā¦I still felt as though I had desecrated the sanctum of the temple that is my body :)
