Hello Cuprajake, no I did not do the mod because of the sound :), and it is not hard nor complicated. Let me explain “my” issue before the mod.
The gear pump(ish) that we use in the leva depends on pstat which is annoying to “me”. I don’t want my pressure managed by switching on and off. My brew style and taste include a long pre-infusion; so, I want a consistent pressure above my puck + it is fun!
At least for me, now I have a better & more consistent pre-infusion. I can easily change the pressure at any moment.
I was wondering since I got my machine why didn’t Paolo allow users to control the pump from the touch screen to set pressure and use voltage instead of pstat? Or just drop a regular rotary pump for better performance also easy-adjust
