Cuprajake Thanks! May be it’s the ambient. I have had a fair share of temperature oscillations with the brew boiler, until I found stability with those settings, which I posted yesterday.
I never got around playing with the group’s settings except B as the group takes longer to warm up. The default B does not suit my machine.
Once the group is hot and reaches the SP, it will always get stuck at about a degree lower from the set point and won’t go up for a long time. Yesterday was one example.
So, I have been using the PID more like an on/off switch at B value of 5. Any thing between 10 and 20 would prevent the temp from getting stuck but will give me 1C oscillation. It is a compromise!
I might get around tweaking the P and D slightly to see where it takes me. 😊
