DavecUK That is the one matey! I remember reading it at the time and thinking that all L2 and L3 users must only drink dark coffee. Your video above demonstrating the flex and tip of the L1 with no panels on is priceless if read in conjunction with the above claims. Actually, this is a really good example of the sort of sh1te we were ladle fed by the slick operating machine at the time. Looking back though, it does seem comical! Everyone dog has its day I suppose.

I believe @NelisB got additional springs to test. I have talked to him on instagram some months ago. The link that was sent to me for the springs is here: springs

When @Cuprajake posted the video I quickly reached out to ACS since I have parts on the way to ask about other springs but I haven’t heard back. I was hoping if they were offering other springs I could include them in my current shipment. But really, I am more totally pleased with original springs.

I am wondering if the purpose of the spring change video is really for the home consumer or if its for commercial users who might actually approach the point where there is spring fatigue?

Paolo5 yes they are. I have ordered my vostok with a lower pressure spring setup. They’re shipping me the standard higher pressure spring in case I want to switch it out as well.

No, but I think it should, assuming you’re talking about the Evo and Vostok…in a sense only the Evo has changed fundamentally, but I have to see if the same basic version still exists (I don’t think it will exist as there has been an internal frame upgrade). So logically it should become the ACS Evo MKII, which can then be accessorised.

DavecUK How about changing the model from Vesuvius to Etna which is arguably the better known mountain since it is still active. That would encapsulate the changes nicely. The changes are pretty substantial as well and desrve more than a Mk 11 designation

dfk41 might be confusing because the case is derived from the Vesuvius case….and people are now familiar with the Vesuvius Evo. I understand where you’re coming from though.

Well EVO2 should be fine i think. About the upgrades the new one will have the new frame which means that have an additional bracket to fix the flexing issue that some people complain even if hundreds of customers live with this problem even because the frame will return always in the right position and it’s very small think in my opinion especially if compared with other machines that have a standard carbon steel painted and a tiny front panel instead of a 304 2mm panels used on the EVO. Also the EVO2 will have the rotary pump as standard, the dosing system and safety lever system will be an optional. On the Vostok only the safety lever system its an optional. Also i’m thinking about the possibility to add a wooden finishing on the panels of the EVO2 too. I should check how it looks like.

If I have an Evo on order, will I be getting the newer version of the frame or the earlier version? I’d rather make sure I’m getting the most current features on a machine I plan on enjoying for a long, long time.
