if you are indeed looking for a manual tamper still I just ordered a (custom size but it was at no extra charge) tamper from Eazy tamp. With exchange rates to USD it wasn’t too bad. It will be shipped soon and I can post results here. All told it looks well made, thoughtful, and with no extra bells or whistles. It’s just a tamper (with a spring inside but I suppose that’s adjustable and probably won’t matter to end result anyways).
The issue with most self leveling tampers and the stock ACS basket is the depth. I measured something like 21mm of travel needed to compress 17g. That depth, plus the custom diameter (54.4ish if I recall), was a challenge. I bit the bullet to go with the IMS double baskets popular here, which only need 10mm or so for 17g, with a diameter of 54.9mm. I crossed my fingers a small bit on the diameter since the baskets are not perfect cylinders but I should be ok, and besides there are several reports online that 54.9mm is the correct measurement.
Note about the Escher labs tamper, which does market to LSM groups, is that it is fixed depth. Eg you set the depth of the tamp by tightening everything down, and it will only tamp to that fixed depth once set. Kind of a problem what with the variability of beans, density, dose, moon cycles, etc.
