Adrianmsmith you do know you have to get them together and use them together to fully appreciate it all, right? :D my plan is to swap it in at the same time I start using the new grinder, and then I’ll tell myself how it all makes sense.

Kinda like what you do when you dump quality beans into milk, heh.

Having reached out to Maria at ACS but didn’t get a reply to both my emails about the flush system add on, so thought id try here about another mod.

I’ve been looking at the V handles and seems to be a mare sourcing one but before I delve deeper, anyone have pics of a V on their Leva or Vostok.

Jason1wood there’s a couple of fork handle pics in the Vostok thread. I wasn’t going to get one, but ended up wanting the full set of handles with the metal endcaos. It’s somewhat easier to use the fork handle than the lever.

I bought it from ACS with my machine order.
I think it was something like 300euros at the time.
As Raj said it makes it very easy to “pull” a shot.
I use both hands to smoothly draw the lever down which also helps keep the whole thing balanced.

Edit: i just checked an the four candle was 150 euro.

So a couple of days ago I’ve turned on again the service boiler as the Australian winter is approaching. I hadn’t used it for months. I immediately noticed a considerable leak under the machine, and upon investigation, I’ve realised that most of the bottom fittings are covered in scale so I assume they are all leaking more or less. Boiler out job then, or can it be accessed from the bottom? Is there anything I should know about the removal/installation procedure, or is a pretty intuitive task?

Also, I’ve noticed that the 0.5 sec periodic pump activation increases in interval (from 10 to 30 minutes) when the service boiler is on, is it worth investigating if there is a leak when the machine is apart?

Anything else worth doing/checking when the boiler is out?

Another place you can get water underneath the machine with a machine The age of yours is the pressure start possibly not in your case as it would be coincidence for this to happen when turning on the steam boiler. Just worth thinking about to have a look whilst working on it

May indicate pressure stat issues also, or a non return valve. Pressure stat is cheap to replace!

It can be accessed from below, put the machine on it’s side and use a folded towel on the work surface to protect it.
