Any member can start a roasted coffee club and make deals with roasters, as long as it’s non profit and not the prelude to starting a business like other roast compilation companies. it shouldn’t be shrouded in secrecy either!

Just step up and volunteer..you don’t need contacts, just some marketing skills. The roasters will be more than happy to do business with you. With the other sub you mentioned, often some of the deals our members find on here are much better, sometimes for the same coffees!

Tim wendleboe filter roast is fairly light, then dog and hat usually has some international roasters that’s are light.

I’ve just had a couple of bags from Pactcoffee.

Been using the Gaseke Natural since yesterday it’s a filter coffee apparently but I’ve been using the espresso machine and steamed milk, very nice even my wife likes it.

They’ve a special deal on at the minute two 250g bags for £15 delivered.

Have you used these beans for espresso as the roaster recommends them for filter? I’m getting fed up with thin turbo shots and feel like some proper gloop for a change 😆

Coffee Compass for decent med dark/dark roasts! I usually buy their espresso selection, 3 × 500g bags.

Malabar hit and Jampit hit are my current favourites, but sweet bourbon is also great. Tbh all I’ve tried have been decent, I stick to the espresso blends.

I don’t do anything other than espresso based milk drinks for me. I guess mine are somewhere between latte and flat white.

Had several kg of this now and like it i dont tend to like darker or “Italian ” blend though and have been trying to drink espresso shots of medium and lighter roasts . I like what i like the taste of so tend to go for what i like the sound of, not necessarily because it says “for espresso” etc. one day i may come to appreciate straight espresso, but i have some way to go yet …..

I found that often the best coffees I have is when the roaster described as not suitable for espresso - which I think it’s total nonsense in this day and age.

I drink almost exclusively espresso or topped up with the same quantity of water.

I never buy any beans that are labelled as for espresso.

Not yet, but it seems likely there will be a 25% discount later next week. May be useful to devise a game plan.

Also, craft house coffee still be discounting on Thursday 28th. In the past it has been about the 30% mark, and a better discount on the Thursday than Friday onwards
